Sheriff Luna leads challenger Villanueva in early returns; Measure A ahead

In a rematch of the 2022 race, L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna has taken an early lead over Alex Villanueva, who is seeking to reclaim the office he held for a single term. A measure to establish binding arbitration for sheriff's deputies and other public safety employees is also on the ballot.
